Scarpa Wine

The historic cellars

The historic cellars of Scarpa were built in the early 20th century and are among the oldest in Nizza Monferrato.

Nizza, situated in the heart of the Belbo valley, has always been one of the most important winemaking districts in Piedmont, the cradle of the noblest Barbera d’Asti vineyards. Grapes from different areas of the district would arrive in Nizza, where they were vinified to then be shipped all over the world, along the railway lines directed to Turin and Genoa.

The recently renovated cellars welcome visitors and guide them along a production itinerary with more than a hundred years of history. Even today, among barrels and steel tanks, guests can admire Scarpa’s Caveau, which contains a collection of historical vintages that has embodied the winery’s legacy, since the middle of the last century.

Tasting Room

Focus on experience

The new tasting room is the heart of the Scarpa experience: the chosen place to revel in the winery’s great wine heritage.

Designed to be welcoming and functional, the new tasting room is where we translate Scarpa’s historical expertise into horizontal and vertical tastings that allow a deeper knowledge of our rich production and the unveiling of the expressive layers of the vintages.

Thanks to the Coravin Wine Preservation System, historical labels, rarely available on the market, are now up for tasting. This space also enables the discovery of the infinite nuances of Barbera d’Asti.
