The art season is kicking off at Scarpa Gallery, starting with the vibrant works of internationally renowned painter and designer Maria Rita Vita on September 30th. On October 21st, it’s time for "Errand Souls Beneath Hong Kong," a photographic journey through the Asian metropolis captured by the extraordinary Enrico Gili.
Talent, art, expression – at Scarpa, we deeply believe in sharing these values. That's what our exhibition spaces are dedicated to: the Wine Lounge & Scarpa Gallery, created in what used to be our bottle storage warehouses, are places where we want to welcome people and their stories, to share creativity and inspiration.
Starting September 30th, Scarpa Gallery will become a home for art, featuring two visionary artists with extensive international experience, Maria Rita Vita and Enrico Gili.
Maria Rita Vita, a painter and designer from the Apuan Alps, has been active for over twenty years, exhibiting in major national and international shows. Her works have crossed borders, representing Italy at the Zamosc Biennale in 2016 and the Dubai Expo in 2022. Beyond painting, she has launched a fashion design collection and works with glass; her art, influenced by Action Painting and abstract expressionism, is always characterized by a vibrant sense of color and movement, deeply inspired by her native land.
Starting October 21st, Enrico Gili will bring his extraordinary story of resilience to Scarpa Gallery. With a degree in Communication and Semiotics, Enrico spent over twenty years in the restaurant industry around the world – New York, Spain, Australia, and Hong Kong, where he ran his own restaurant for eight years.
In 2011, a Parkinson's diagnosis led to a change in direction: Enrico began a professional career in photography, turning a passion into a way to tackle the challenges of his illness and combat its motor symptoms and limitations.
Thanks to his eclectic artistic approach, Enrico has collaborated over the years with the fashion and Food & Wine industries (Prada, MiuMiu, Four Seasons Hotel, Spirito di Vino). He now lives in Turin, where he is planning to open a new photography studio, focusing on teaching photographic techniques to people with motor disabilities.
